Composers in Focus is a series of original piano collections celebrating the creative artistry of contemporary composers. It is through the work of these composers that the piano teaching repertoire is enlarged and enhanced.

A Little Mother Goose is a collection of happy music based on some of my favorite nursery rhymes. Mother Goose Rhymes originated in England many hundreds of hears ago. They served many purposes, including the teaching of letters or numbers, as games, as cautionary tales, as stories, or as disguised political commentary. For instance, Baa, Baa, Black Sheep is believed to be a complaint about heavy taxation on will.
When writing the melodies, I tried to recapture the sense of innocence and wonder I felt as a child when the poems were read to me. From a trip on a bumpy road to a nap in a haystack, I hope you will enjoy imagining the varied moods and events portrayed by the music.
