Poetry has a rhythm and expression to it - much like music. In these volumes of Poetry at the Piano, I have gathered together some of my favorite poems and composed music to complement the rhythm, images and tone that each poem expresses. As you play each piece, use the music to mirror the mood that the poet creates with his or her words.
I hope the poems will inspire you to play these pieces using your imagination so that the listener will "hear" the poem in your music. Be creative and have fun!
