Bösendorfer Concert Grand 230VC | Arriving Fall 2026 at Piano Gallery, Idaho Falls

The 230VC sits at a compelling point in the Bösendorfer range: a full concert grand with the string length, soundboard area, and resonant mass to fill a stage, yet designed by Bösendorfer to adapt equally well to a generously proportioned private music room. The VC designation marks the Vienna Concert generation of Bösendorfer's design philosophy, bringing a more brilliant tonal palette and refined mechanical action while remaining true to the warmth and purity the name has carried since 1828.
Like every instrument from the Vienna workshop, the 230VC is built on Bösendorfer's Resonance Case Principle. The entire spruce body, not the soundboard alone, becomes acoustically active with every note played. The spruce itself is air-dried through four full seasons before it enters the workshop, and the finished instrument represents roughly six years of work from raw material to first performance. At 230 cm and 420 kg, this is a serious concert instrument by every measure. It arrives at Piano Gallery this fall.
