Bösendorfer Ultimate Design Audi — Available to Order
In 2009, Audi commissioned Bösendorfer to create an instrument for their centenary that would carry the same design philosophy as their automobiles: sleek, purposeful, and unmistakably their own. The result is one of the most visually striking grands Bösendorfer has ever produced. The bass side is fully closed, extending seamlessly to the floor in a single unbroken line that serves both as a design statement and as a sound reflector toward the audience. The music desk is fabric-covered to smooth the flow of sound toward the pianist. The lyre, prop stick, and legs are aluminium. The cast iron frame is grey, perfectly matched to Audi's palette. Every element has a reason to be exactly where it is.
Acoustically it is a full Bösendorfer 214VC with Vienna Concert technology and the complete Resonance Case construction. The design changes the appearance of the instrument entirely. It changes nothing about how it sounds.
